Twin Oval Building Handed Over to UDS: A Modern Symbol of Growth and Beauty

In a quiet ceremony at the University for Development Studies (UDS), the much-anticipated Twin Oval Building, a stunning addition to the university’s growing landscape, has been officially handed over by Bildex Company Limited to the University through the Directorate of Works and Physical Development.

The ultra-modern structure, aptly named for its distinctive architectural design, comprises two spacious 300-seater auditoriums that are fully equipped for lectures, seminars, and other academic events. It also features five well-furnished offices and two large storerooms, providing the University with much-needed space for teaching, administration, and storage.

In a brief but symbolic moment, the keys to the building were formally presented to the Registrar of the University, Mr. Nurudeen Issah Abubakar, signifying the official transfer of the facility into the University’s care. Representatives of the Directorate of Works and Physical Development, alongside staff of Bildex Company Limited, witnessed the handover with satisfaction, marking yet another milestone in UDS’s ongoing infrastructural transformation.

Since its completion, the Twin Oval has already begun hosting students for lectures, a timely intervention that has significantly eased the pressure on lecture halls and office spaces, challenges that had long confronted the University’s ever-growing student population.

Beyond its functionality, the Twin Oval stands as a masterpiece of modern architecture, its graceful curves and sleek finish blending harmoniously into the University’s landscape. The building’s elegant design has not only improved space efficiency but has also enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the campus, earning admiration from staff, students, and visitors alike.

An official date for the commissioning of the Twin Oval Building will be announced in due course, as the University prepares to formally celebrate what has already become one of its most iconic and functional landmarks.
