At a ceremony held at the Library Block of the University for Development Studies (UDS), the Learners Girls Foundation made a significant contribution to the academic resources of the institution by donating a collection of medical books. This initiative aims to enhance the learning experience for students pursuing health-related disciplines.

The event featured staff from Learners Girls Foundations, highlighted the collaborative spirit between the Learners Girls Foundation and UDS. The Project Lead of the Learners Girls Foundation, Mr. Abdul Fatawu Abdulai, representing the foundation, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support the library and emphasized the importance of accessible educational resources for aspiring medical professionals.

The Head of Administration at the Library, Madam Jennifer A. Alanda, warmly welcomed the Learners Girls Foundation, acknowledging their commitment to education and community support. “We are thrilled to receive these valuable resources, which will undoubtedly benefit our students and contribute to their academic success,” she remarked.

The Head of the information Service Department, Madam Achiaa Aikins speaking on behalf of the librarian, shared heartfelt remarks about the impact of the donation. “This generous gift will not only enrich our library’s collection but also inspire our students to pursue their studies with renewed vigour,” she stated.

Other notable speakers included the Head of Acquisition Madam Amina Alhassan and the head of Reader Service Madam Akeriwe Aloribasua Georgina, who both highlighted the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and community organizations in fostering a culture of learning and growth.

The donation of these medical books according to the Programs Assistant Madam Azara Sulemana is a testament to the Learners Girls Foundation’s dedication to empowering young learners and enhancing educational opportunities.
