WACSIR Donates Sanitation Equipment to Support University

The West African Centre for Shea Innovation and Research (WACSIR) has donated sanitation equipment to the University following a successful expo, in a move aimed at supporting the institution’s sanitation and environmental management efforts.

The donation was presented to the University Registrar, Mr. Nurudeen I. Abubakari, by the Director of WACSIR, Prof. Abubakar Alhassan, together with Mr. Abraham Zakaria, Madam Bariyatu Iddrisu, and other staff of the Centre.

Presenting the items, Prof. Alhassan explained that WACSIR found it necessary to support the University with the equipment after the expo, in response to the growing sanitation needs on campus. He noted that the gesture was part of the Centre’s commitment to promoting a clean and healthy academic environment.

Receiving the items on behalf of the University, the Registrar expressed appreciation to WACSIR for the timely support. He indicated that the University’s Sanitation Management Unit had earlier made a request for cleaning equipment, and the donation would go a long way in easing the burden on the University.

Mr. Abubakari further commended WACSIR for its continuous support and collaboration with the University, adding that such initiatives strengthen institutional development and improve the overall campus environment.
